Information on TradeTalk Fees and Costs |
Buying through TradeTalk
- There are no fees or costs associated with buying items from Sellers through TradeTalk. It is a completely FREE service.
TradeTalk Seller Fees
- No Listing Fees.
- A simple commission rate & transaction fee with no extra cost for payment processing.
- No monthly subscription charges for a seller account.
- No administration fees on delivery charges.
- No limits on the time period you can list your products and prices.
- The chance to secure lower commission rates if you are a ‘Product Information Provider’ or ‘Market Maker’.
- A low rate that compares favourably to most online trade facilitators, marketplaces and price comparison sites.
Current Seller Fee Rates
There are 2 types of Fees that TradeTalk may collect from Sellers: A Cost Per Click (CPC) or a commission on the sale. A Seller can choose either one of these models or both for individual items. Major online Sellers may be able to benefit from discounts on these standard rates.
1) Commission on Sales where TradeTalk Handles the Sale
TradeTalk will only collect a fee when your item(s) sell and you have decided to accept the order. TradeTalk calculates this based on the overall sales price. TradeTalk will handle the accepting of all payments from the Buyers, this money will then be credited periodically to the Seller from the Payments section of their account.

2) Cost Per Click
This mechanism is available to those Sellers that have their own website and wish to take the sale through their website. TradeTalk will list your items and will record when a Buyer clicks to view the product. This Cost Per Click will be charged to the Seller listing the items.

Note: All Seller fees are inclusive of VAT in line with a European Directive that came into effect July 1, 2003. This directive requires that those providing digital services must collect service fees from Sellers who are established in the European Union. Accordingly TradeTalk.com is required to charge VAT on seller fees.
Discounted Rates for Major Online Retailers
We are keen to reward all Sellers who are prepared the initial set of data (description and image details) with their listings. Any Seller we accept as a Product Information Provider may qualify for a reduced commission rate. This reduction will depend on the number of products being listed, as a general guideline - well in excess of 1000 products - and the quality of the data. Contact us for more information.
Market Makers are those Sellers TradeTalk recognises as the largest established online Retailers/Sellers. If you choose to be among the first to list within a particular online industry / category, TradeTalk may offer a Commission Bond on ALL other sales within that particular industry / category over a set time period. This will be dependent on a large initial set of product data, the listing of prices against all or most product items and all items being available to purchase using TradeTalk.
