Product Description

The Babolat Aero Storm Cortex 08 tennis racket is the hybrid of the Pure Storm and the Aero-Pro Drive providing the best of both worlds. The Aero Storm combines an aerodynamic throat design with a more traditional hoop design, resulting in a racquet with enhanced maneuverability (for its 12+ ounce weight) and solid stability.

Out on the court with the Aero Storm, there's a faint wisp heard as the racquet cuts through the air - a subtle reminder of the efficiency of the Aero Modular Construction on fast swings. For improved comfort and feel, Babolat's Cortex system is included, providing a slightly dampened feel. The playing characteristics of this racquet should make it ideal for intermediate to advanced level players and the decent club player should find much to admire in this great frame.

MAIN FEATURES:

The Aero Storm uses Babolat’s Woofer Technology. The Woofer technology creates a pulley effect with the strings on impact, allowing more of the strings to move. This amplifies the trampoline effect that occurs when a ball is struck, also increasing pace and spin.

Babolat's Cortex System: The interface between the handle and the frame is an active vibration filter customized to the player level needs. The two parts of the racquet are actively linked by the Cortex Dampening System which filters and dampens vibrations interfering with feel, to enhance the feel of the ball.

Babolat's Aero Modular Technology: The Aero Modular Technology creates maximum penetration of the racquet through the air and increases the hitting power. Features:
-Aerodynamic design and modular frame
-Varying beam profiles accomodate individual player's swings
-A frame design apapted to the evolution of modern tennis.

RACQUET MAINTENANCE

With the advances in technology of materials that construct the modern day racquet comes a degree of simplicity in taking care of it and maintaining its quality. Mostly, Racquet care is common sense but to ensure its done correctly it is advised that you:

• Don't expose it to extreme heat or cold such as by leaving it exposed in your car window in summer or winter.
• Keep it out of the sun when not in use.
• Don't throw it, bang it, or sit on it.
• Avoid scraping it while picking up balls.
• Put protective tape over those parts of the outer surface that you might scrape reaching for low balls.
• Install a fresh overgrip whenever your grip gets slippery. Having the racquet slip out of your hand is a common cause of breakage injury
• String within the recommended range. Exceeding this range can break your frame and will usually void your warranty.

1. How often should I restring?

The conventional rule of thumb is to restring as often per year as you play per week, but no less often than twice per year. Restringing less than this may not neccessarily ruin the strings but it can result in the loss of performance from the racquet and strings.
